From June 28th to 30th, CapitalBioDx, the newest spin-off from CapitalBio will exhibit her first flow cytometer instrument, CytoNova on the 30th Congress of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry at Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow Scotland. It is the first time that CapitalBio announces to introduce the brand new flow cytometry product line of CytoNova. The R&D work is completed in the CapitalBio Institute of Engineering Transformation, a dedicated research organization affiliated to CapitalBio aiming at rapid and efficient transfer from scientific innovation to commercial product. Flow cytometry is a biophysical technology employed in cell counting, cell sorting, biomarker detection and protein engineering. In flow cytometry, cells (or other cell-sized particles) are suspended in a stream of fluid and passed one by one by a laser-excited photoelectronic detection apparatus, thus simultaneous multi-parameter analysis of the physical, chemical or even biological characteristics for up to tens of thousands of particles per second can be performed in affordable cost. Flow cytometry is routinely used in the diagnosis of health disorders, as well as other applications in cell biology, immunology, genetics, cancer research on the academic side and transplantation on the clinical practice side.
The project of CytoNova is supported by Fundamental Scientific Instrument Development Plan of China. The Series includes CytoNova 2040, 2050 and 2060 currently to cater various demands.
