Microarray Auxiliaries

CapitalBio HybSet™ microarray hybridization cassette is designed to hold a 25 mm × 75 mm microarray slide in an isolated environment to prevent evaporation of the hybridization solution, thus reduce variation of the results and improve the S/N ratio of the hybridization image. Each HybSet™ consists of a base-board, two brackets, a sealing ring (gasket), a cover board, and a pair of metal retaining clips. The sealing ring and metal clips ensure that the hybridization chamber remains closed and watertight in the waterbath, guaranteeing uniform temperature and humidity. The cassette can apply to water bath or air bath. A series of brackets can be chosen alternatively to adapt to one standard slide or one slide with the SmartGrid™ gasket or one slide with the SmartGrid™ and SmartCover.

CapitalBio SmartGrid^TM and SmartCover^TM are useful tools for enhanced microarray hybridezation/reaction efficiency. Precise positioning of the grid is needed for correct adhesion of the CapitalBio SmartCover^TM and also is necessary to prevent spoilage of the printed spots.The SmartStick^TM Grid Alignment Tool aids precise positioning of the grid on the slide surface. The SmartPress^TM Gred Pressing Tool helps to ensure complete adhesion of the grid with slide surface. The combined use of the two tools guarantees the separation of different liquid samples added into the different liquid samples added into the different wells which are formed by the multi-sample grid on the slide surface and prevents the possibility of cross-contamination.

 

CapitalBio SmartGrid^TM and SmartCover^TM have been developed for high throughput, multiple sample (4, 10 and 12 samples) handling on a single microarray slide under identical conditions. SmartCover^TM helps enhance the quality of hybridization or immunoreaction, and to facilitate the manual sample injection process. Using the SmartCover^TM can also minimize variability of hybridization or immunoreaction results.
 

CapitalBio IncuSet^TM Protein Chip Incubation Cassette help to simplify incubation processes for protein chips. The unit can accommodate standard microscope slides (25 mm × 75 mm) both with and without CapitalBio SmartCover^TM. The design of the cassettes ensures uniform reaction temperatures among multiple slides. Wells in the base hold 200 μL of water to maintain optimal interior humidity during incubation at elevated temperature.
