Phadia, VBC-Genomics and CapitalBio form business relationship

September 5th, 2008, Beijing – The National Engineering Research Center for Beijing Biochip Technology (NERCBBT) announced that it had received the approval from the Standardization Administration of the People´s Republic of China (SAC) for the foundation of the National Technical Committee 421 on Biochip of Standardization Administration of China, serial number SAC/TC 421.
Cell Lab-on-a-chip Research Obtained an Exciting Progress
23 May 2008, Beijing –The National Engineering Research Center for Beijing Biochip Technology (NERCBBT) (CapitalBio Corporation), Beijing announced that Professor Jing Cheng and his research team at Tsinghua University and the NERCBBT created a lab-on-a-chip style cell monitoring device which can mimic wounding processes and wound recovery processes. The device creates artificial wounds and then continuously monitors the migration of surrounding cells as they move to heal the wound. This exciting research has been published as the cover story in the June issue of Lab on a Chip, the top scientific journal for global biochip research.

January 7th, 2008, Beijing China -- CapitalBio Corporation announced that one of its patents, A Micro-Volume Liquid Ejection System (Inventors: Dong Wang, Kun Zou, Jianxin Ye, Yelei Sun, Hui Zhu, Xianhua Wang, Jing Cheng. Patent NO.: ZL200410086248.0), had won the 10th China Patent Award from State Intellectual Property Office of P.R. China (SIPO).
China Patent Award, established by SIPO in 1989, is the only government patent award given every two years and has been approved by World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO).

Capitalbio Bioassay Laboratory Obtained the National Accreditation Certification
January 23,2008,Beijing - Capitalbio Corporation Announced that its Bioassay Laboratory has received the Laboratory Accreditation Certificate (Registration No.:CNAS L2451) from China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
CNAS is the national accreditation body of China responsible for the accreditation and certification of laboratories and inspections. CNAS was established under the approval of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People´s Republic of China in accordance with the Regulations on Certification and Accreditation.
