On 28th Dec, 2009, CapitalBio’s first Independent Clinical Laboratory (ICL) was established in Chengdu Wenjiang International Medical Town in Sichuan. Vice Mayor of Chengdu, Yonglin Fu, Vice Chancellor of Sichuan University, Yuquan Wei, Director of IV clinical center in Ministry of Health, Ziyu shen attended the opening ceremony.
ICL Chengdu branch center has almost 300 molecular diagnostic applications including microarray services for disease prognosis, which can prognose 68 prevalent diseases, evaluate corresponding risks and provide preventive advice. ICL Chengdu branch will benefit residents in southwestern part of China including Chengdu city by providing services based on the most advanced gene technology in the world.
Dr. Jing Cheng, CTO of CaptialBio also said “ the reason we choose Wenjiang to build the Lab is its potential market in Western part of China and its development plan that Wenjiang is going to established as international medical town with combination of production, study and research. It provides perfect environment for CapitalBio to set up Independent clinical Lab in Wenjiang.”
