Phadia, VBC-Genomics and CapitalBio form business relationship

The international immuno-diagnostics companies Phadia (Uppsala, Sweden) and VBC-Genomics (Vienna, Austria) announce the formation of a business alliance with biochip and microarray instrumentation developer and manufacturer CapitalBio (Beijing, China).  The companies issued a joint statement on 5th September 2008 to announce a major advance in the provision of high throughput allergy testing with their ImmunoCAP ISAC arrays and analysing the result with CapitalBio´s new LuxScan dual laser scanners.

Prof. Dr. Manfred W. Mueller, CEO of VBC-Genomics commented "VBC has entered in an agreement with CapitalBio enabling Phadia´s marketing companies to sell ImmunoCAP ISAC diagnostic products worldwide. The combination of VBC´s/Phadia´s unique microarray platform technology with CapitalBio´s LuxScan technology has the potential to aim at immune diagnostics in a new dimension. We have installed almost one hundred of CapitalBio´s LuxScans in routine clinics in Europe and the Middle East and their performance is exemplary."

Dr. Jing Cheng, CEO of CapitalBio noted "This alliance is a very significant step forward in the field of consumer allergy diagnostics.  Phadia and VBC-Genomics are leaders in immuno-assay development and CapitalBio is very pleased to partner with them and provide our certified microarray scanners to support allergy suffers with the benefits of a total test system.  We see this as a very special win-win situation, a win for doctors and their patients and a business win for our companies".  All three companies are looking for a strengthening of their alliance in future years.
