Beijing, China & Cape Town, RSA (September 09, 2008) — The Centre for Proteomic & Genomic Research (CPGR), a South African Government sponsored, not for profit, core technology facility in Cape Town, South Africa, and CapitalBio (CB), a leading biotech company in Beijing, China, announce that they are entering into a mutual agreement in the field of Genomic Medicine and Biomarker Discovery.

The international immuno-diagnostics companies Phadia (Uppsala, Sweden) and VBC-Genomics (Vienna, Austria) announce the formation of a business alliance with biochip and microarray instrumentation developer and manufacturer CapitalBio (Beijing, China).  The companies issued a joint statement on 5th September 2008 to announce a major advance in the provision of high throughput allergy testing with their ImmunoCAP ISAC arrays and analysing the result with CapitalBio´s new LuxScan dual laser scanners.
 

September 5th, 2008, Beijing – The National Engineering Research Center for Beijing Biochip Technology (NERCBBT) announced that it had received the approval from the Standardization Administration of the People´s Republic of China (SAC) for the foundation of the National Technical Committee 421 on Biochip of Standardization Administration of China, serial number SAC/TC 421.
