At the end of Dec, 2009, CapitalBio’s first Independent Clinical Laboratory, Chengdu center received its Practice License of Medical Institution from SFDA.
On 10th, Dec 2009, CapitalBio passed acceptance check of “Beiochip related instrument commercialization demonstration”, which was audit by a group of experts representing National Development and Reform Commission. Experts also gave very positive feedback on the project success.
On 2nd Dec, 2009, Cheng Jing, Professor of Department of Biomedical Engineering, Tsinghua University and Chief of Technology in CapitalBio became an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering among 48 new academicians, which is top honor life-time achievement in the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
In Nov 2009, CapitalBio was awarded “Innovation Enterprise” by BEEA. Products including LuxScan (confocal laser microarray scanner), CapitalBio Antinuclear Antibody Test Array Kit, CapitalBio Mycobacterial Species Identification Array Kit and CapitalBio M.tuberculosis Drug Resistance Detection Array Kit were awarded “Technology Innovation Product”. CapitalBio foodborne Pathogenic Micro-organisms Detection Array Kit and CapitalBio Deafness Gene Mutation Detection Array Kit were awarded “Technology Innovation Prize”. Dr. Yong Guo was awarded “Technology Innovation Individual”.
