Dec. 29, 2004, Mr. Rong Yonglin, Assistant President of Tsinghua University and Chairman of Tsinghua Holdings Co. Ltd. and CapitalBio Corporation visited Beijing Wangdong Medical Equipment Co., Ltd, accompanied by Dr. Jing Cheng, President of CapitalBio Corporation and Director of NERCBBT, and Dr. Chaoyang Xia, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

From Oct. 21 to 24, 2004, International Forum on Biochip Technologies (IFBT) 2004 was held at NERCBBT. The Forum was co-organized by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST)　of PRC, Tsinghua University and the NERCBBT. Mr. Li Xueyong, Deputy Minister of MOST　delivered the opening speech in the opening ceremony. Prof. Cen Zhangzhi, Vice President of Tsinghua University, Mr. Wang Hongguang, Director of the Biologic Technology Developing Center of Agricultural and Social Developing Dept. of MＯST, Mr. Yang Weiguang, Director of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Mr. Guo Hong, Director of the Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, Prof. Qiang Boqin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the opening ceremony. More than thirty experts from USA, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Australia and other countries attended the Forum.

Oct. 20, 2004, Joongang Daily News of South Korea visited the NERCBBT. Dr. Jing Cheng, President of CapitalBio Corporation and Director of the NERCBBT, introduced them to our technologies and products.

From Oct. 13 to 14, 2004, The 2004 International Workshop on Medical and Pharma Informatics was held at the NERCBBT.

From Oct. 11 to 12, 2004, Dr. Jing Cheng, President of CapitalBio Corporation and Director of the NERCBBT, attended the Second International Symposium on Brain Functional Genomics in Shanghai.

Oct. 4, 2004, CapitalBio Corporation was highlighted as "one of the nation’s first world-class biotech firms" by Fortune magazine in a special Chinese issue.
